Deepti completed her M.Sc (Environment Management) in 2003 (awarded Gold Medal) from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, India. She holds a Certificate in ‘Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Green GDP’ by MoEFCC, Government of India. She has over 15 years of experience in community-based research on climate-risks and resilience measures. She has undertaken extensive research and developed program documents (design & feasibility) for several countries in Asia and Africa, in addition to leading primary research and working with communities to identify the key risks, indigenous practices for resilience and nature-based solutions that are locally applicable. She works on an Ecosystem-based approach for integrated sustainable solution. She has worked on projects with UN agencies, European Commission, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, USAID, AFD, GIZ, Government & non-Government sector. She is a Climate Reality Leader under Mr Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project working towards generating awareness and facilitating action on climate-change across the world.
